France’s second largest banking group, BPCE, has announced that it has selected French telephone operator SFR to supply its telepresence facilities. The equipment to be supplied is of Cisco brand, and will enable the bank’s personnel to organise confidential remote meetings with their colleagues. Two types of rooms will be equipped, one for advisory meetings (containing three screens) and one for a number of persons (containing one large screen). The system will be installed in around ten sites to begin with, and then rolled out across France. BPCE has over 100,000 personnel and many thousands of branches.
