New cities for car2go
|
The car2go scheme is expanding further in the United States and Canada. The car-sharing scheme, which features ‘pick-up and drop-off anywhere in the city’, is to be launched in Miami, Calgary and Toronto. For those who register for the service now, certain benefits are on offer. There are currently 4,000 smartfortwo cars operating within this system in Europe and North America. More than two million trips have been taken since the launch of the system four years ago. Alongside this announcement, the company has said that by the end of this year, Stuttgart will become the third city to have an all-electric smartfortwo fleet operating (photo). The existing electric fleets are in Amsterdam and San Diego.
